March 16, 2026, six months after starting the Mediterranean Diet, tracking my calories in the Easy Count way, and being mindful of my step count, I lost 25 pounds. I had an Elastography (FibroScan) and here are my results.

Because most people don't know they have MASLD or Non-Alcohol Fatty Liver Disease while it is still reversable, it's wise to be proactive with diet and exercise.
Change is hard, but not as hard as a liver transplant.
Eating healthy and consuming less calories than I burn has its own rewards. More energy, no acid reflux and its accompanying medication and being healthier. Knowing how to mentally tally the calories of what I'm eating, is my new normal. I have strategies for enjoying holidays and celebrations and eating out without risking my health.
